Storage Environment:
If long-term storage is required, the Xi'an Simo motor must be placed in a dry and well-ventilated area. The air should not contain corrosive gases, such as gases containing ammonia, chlorine, and sulfur, etc. The storage area should be kept as far away as possible from dirt and vibrations. For motors with condensation drainage holes, the plugs must be pulled out regularly to drain the water that has condensed and accumulated inside the Xi'an Simo motor. The shaft ends have a special coating to ensure they are not corroded. The protective coating must be regularly inspected and replaced when necessary.
The maintenance of Xi'an Simo motors should be carried out by qualified professionals.
Qualified Personnel: Those who are familiar with the mechanical structure and electrical performance of the motor, and are qualified to install, assemble, debug, and maintain the motor. They must have the qualifications to perform these tasks, and should be trained or be professional electricians. Install and use the motor in accordance with the requirements of the product instruction manual. For motors that have been placed for a long time, their mechanical and electrical performance must be inspected before use to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the motor.
Mechanical Inspection
- Visual Inspection: The components should be complete, the cooling fins should have no fractures, the shaft extension should have no bumps, and there should be no rust on the surface of the motor casing and the shaft extension. Rotate the shaft body by hand, and the rotor should rotate flexibly without abnormal sounds such as scraping. Use tools to check whether each installation screw is tightened, and effectively deal with items that do not meet the requirements.
- Bearing Inspection: For open bearings, it is necessary to check the state of the grease, whether the grease has leaked or deteriorated.
Inspection Method - Remove the motor end cover or bearing cover to check the condition of the bearing grease.
If the bearing grease of the Xi'an Simo motor has deteriorated, the original grease needs to be cleaned thoroughly, and then new grease should be refilled.
Note: For sealed bearings, if they have been stored since leaving the factory for 2 years or more than 2 years, it is recommended to replace the bearings.
Electrical Performance Inspection of Xi'an Simo Motors
Check the insulation resistance of the motor windings before use: Insulation resistance refers to the insulation ability between components and elements operating at the rated voltage and the ground, or between each other.
Measurement Method: Open the junction box cover and remove the connecting pieces of the terminal posts. Use a megohmmeter above 500V to measure and record the insulation resistance between the windings and the motor frame, as well as the insulation resistance between the windings. If the resistance value is low during the measurement process, the motor should be disassembled to find the cause.
Measure the DC Resistance of the Windings
Measure the DC resistance of the windings, and by comparing the measured value with the normal value, it is possible to determine to a certain extent whether the connections between the windings are normal and whether there are short circuits between the turns, etc.
Measurement Tools: Single-arm Bridge, Double-arm Bridge
When measuring, the temperature of the measured winding should be measured at the same time. If the motor is in the actual cold state, the ambient temperature can be used instead of the winding temperature. The difference between the DC resistance of each phase of the winding and the average value of the three-phase DC resistance should not be greater than 2%.
After the above inspections are normal, the motor can be powered on for no-load operation to detect whether the three-phase voltage and no-load current of the motor are balanced, whether there are abnormal noises in the Xi'an Simo motor, and whether the vibration and temperature are normal.
